The project
The brief and the finished object
For Didier Marcel’s Nuit magique, JC Keller fabricated ten inflatable mushrooms, each 1.80 metres high. Repeated through the exhibition space, the white forms create a landscape that changes character between daylight and darkness.
Developing the sculpture
The workshop developed the shape and fabricated the ten envelopes. Consistency between the silhouettes and the diffusion of light were considered together, so each volume could retain its sculptural presence as part of the group.
