The brief and the finished object
JC Keller fabricated custom inflatable volumes based on Sun Yitian’s colourful animal figures for a Louis Vuitton campaign. A rabbit, a duck and other characters become large photographic set pieces alongside the models.
Translating the artist’s figures into volume
Silhouettes, expressions and colours guided development of the forms. The documented work included graphic preparation, fabrication and assembly, followed by inflation and adjustments on set. The studio and campaign views show the figures at different scales and angles.
