JC Keller has engineered bespoke inflatable scenery for television, film, advertising and live productions since the ORTF studio era.
01 · Scale
Monumental on camera, lightweight backstage.
Inflatable envelopes can occupy a large studio quickly without the mass of conventional scenery. Packed down, they are compact, transportable and suitable for fast set changes.
02 · Engineering
Turning an artistic direction into a buildable form.
From a set designer’s drawing, our workshop develops patterns, seams, rigging and inflation. Camera framing, circulation, proportions and stability are considered together.
03 · Image
Surface, colour, light and projection.
Matt or glossy finishes, transparency, printing, painting, backlighting and projection turn the volume into an image-making tool. Materials are selected for reflections, lighting and viewing distance.
04 · Production
Workshop testing and on-set support.
Every piece is inflated and checked before dispatch. We can manage transport, installation, adjustment, rehearsals and dismantling around the production schedule.

Preparing the production.
Can you work from a set designer’s drawing?+
Yes. A sketch, model, reference image or 3D file is enough to begin developing the geometry, materials, seams, rigging and inflation system.
Can an inflatable set be installed quickly?+
Yes. Its low weight and compact packed volume make transport and set changes easier. Installation time depends on scale, access and the chosen inflation system.
Can lighting or projection be integrated?+
Yes. Surfaces may be translucent, transparent, lacquered, printed or engineered for projection, depending on the desired result on camera.
Do you install on set?+
Transport, installation, adjustment, production assistance and dismantling can all be included in the project.
