The project
The brief and the finished object
JC Keller fabricated a six-metre transparent inflatable cushion for Sorbet Magazine’s The Movement Issue, Issue 42. Benjamin Millepied performs with the volume in the sandstone quarries of Fontainebleau, in a project with Richard Mille.
Making a scenic cushion
The envelope’s geometry, transparency and inflated form were developed for its role in photography and film. The workshop fabricated and inflated the cushion for checks before preparation for the outdoor shoot. This is a scenic object developed for this project, rather than a specification for a technical or protective mattress.
